As we recruit international students, we also provide transversal training out of our scientific scope to insure that our English-speaking students can access to general research methodology and tools and can validate the credits required for transversal education in their doctoral school.
Those trainings are provided by professional trainers specialized in scientific education. We selected trainers for fluent English, renowned pedagogical faculties, excellent knowledge of biology, and current implication in research activity:
• Dr Armando Chapin Rodríguez has obtained a PhD in molecular biology and biochemistry from the University of Cambridge (UK), after which he worked as a postdoc in neuroscience at the Harvard Institutes of Medicine (US). He has obtained research funding from the British Marshall Commission (UK), the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (US), the Medical Research Council (UK), and the National Institutes of Health (US). He collaborates with universities and research centers in Europe and China to provide communications training to investigators. He is founder and director of Creaducate.
• Dr David Karlin has obtained a PhD in virology from the University of Aix-Marseille. He was research fellow at the University of Oxford. He was one of the founder of the “Ecole de l’ADN” in Marseille (teaching to middle-school students). He has obtained numerous fundings from CNRS, French Ministery of Health, Association Française contre les Myopathies, Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale for various activities linked to science popularization. He has spent 1 year working for the Wellcome Trust, the British charitable foundation.
